Colnago C60 MHRD
Name: P.R.’s Red Lady
Measurements: She’s our lightest C60 build to date. She’s a trim 52H wearing Campagnolo Super Record EPS with Carbon Ti chain rings, MCFK seatpost and cockpit, THM fibula brakes and THM Clavicula crank, and Lightweight Meilenstein Obermayer Schwarz edition wheels.
Likes: As an ultralight bike, she loves anything steep as she’s meant to climb; at her lightest she weighs in at 12.6 lbs.
Dislikes: With all the love she has for climbing she has equal disdain for the flats because where is the challenge in that.
Ride Quality: Her weight will fool you into thinking that she doesn’t have the strength of a standard built C60, but she’s a traditionally constructed Colnago which means she’s meant to last. She offers the same smooth ride quality of other C60’s except that her feather lightness helps you float up the steepest of climbs.
Favorite Route: She loves climbing in the Pyrenees, especially riding up the Port de Bales. This climb isn’t the steepest she’s done, but with the grade variations running between 6-10% it is a challenge to find your pace and keep it. This year was particularly fun as she got to ride it with retired pro rider Chechu Rubiera.
