Two Wheeled Retirement Rolex

Some people prepare for retirement by making plans to fill the time, things like travel, golf, and for our clients bike rides. Some people reward themselves with things like Rolexes.

For this client, instead of a more traditional Rolex, he went with a dream bike build. Handing over the reins to the Overlord to make that dream bike a reality.

Colnago’s C68, a frame that blends both heritage and modern updates, was where the build began. Dura Ace paired well and was familiar. Leading us to the brand new Lightweight Meilenstein Art Sch. Edition wheelset. It lengthened the process as we had to wait for their launch.

The painting process was twofold as the Overlord wanted seat post, bars and stem with spacers to all match the custom painted frame. Once that was complete it was time to add in all the Overlord's touches. SLF Motion BB and OSPW accented the build perfectly. Especially the ice blue OSPW. We would be remiss in not mentioning the Ti Parts upgrades to all the small parts from lock rings to computer mount.

The client's wife sets the bar high for other cyclists as she keeps a close eye on his long solo rides ready to go pick him up at the hint of trouble. The Overlord added an air tag and mount to the build to ensure her peace of mind.

The least we could do for the woman who not only brought the fur boys toys but took the tags off before she arrived and let Murgie dog pull them right from the bag. He was puffed up about that for months. Bash was on hand for the delivery of the two wheeled Rolex and was able to score both new toys and tons of cuddles.
